Khartoum Refinery Company (KRC) is Sudan’s primary petroleum refining enterprise, established as a major joint venture between the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum of Sudan and the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC). Located roughly 70 kilometers north of Khartoum in Al-Jaili, the facility processes domestic crude oil into essential petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, kerosene, and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), supplying the vast majority of Sudan’s national energy grid and fuel demand.
