About the Role
ZOA is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and strengthen the operational functions of its Sudan programme. The successful candidate will oversee finance, HR, IT, logistics, procurement, administration, compliance, and risk management.
As a member of the Country Management Team, the Director will contribute to strategic decision-making and ensure efficient, accountable programme operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance, HR, IT, logistics, and administration teams.
- Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, audits, and donor compliance.
- Strengthen HR systems, recruitment, and staff development.
- Ensure effective procurement, logistics, and IT systems.
- Manage operational risk and internal controls.
- Support programme teams and local partners.
- Contribute to country strategy and senior management decisions.
Requirements
- Relevant university degree, preferably in finance, management, or a related field.
- Senior operational management experience in an international organization.
- Strong experience in finance, HR, compliance, and risk management.
- Experience with donor requirements, audits, and reporting.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Experience in fragile or complex environments is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
