About the Role
The IM Manager is responsible for managing programme data across the mission, ensuring proper systems for data collection, storage, analysis, and visualization. The role supports decision-making by improving data quality, harmonization, and accessibility for all programme teams.
General Objective
The IM Manager will:
- Supervise the IM team and ensure delivery of departmental objectives
- Provide technical support to programme teams on data management tools and systems
- Improve monitoring tools, databases, dashboards, and analysis quality in collaboration with the MEAL Coordinator
- Ensure harmonization and centralization of programme data and tools
- Strengthen data visualization for internal and external stakeholders
Main Challenges
- Leading mission-level data management and analysis for decision-making
- Developing innovative data visualization tools for program and management use
- Strengthening mission-wide database and dashboard systems
- Creating a structured framework for data collection, storage, and analysis within the first 2–3 months
Security Context
- N’Djamena: relatively calm but requires caution
- Sudan: extremely volatile; strict adherence to security protocols is mandatory
Candidate Profile
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Minimum 2 years experience in humanitarian sector
- At least 2 years in a similar Information Management role
- Experience with Solidaritès International (SI) is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of data collection, analysis, and visualization tools
- Understanding of organizational data needs at different levels
- Ability to design and improve databases and dashboards
- Strong training and capacity-building skills
Soft Skills
- Autonomy and proactivity
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills (internal & external)
- Team coordination and leadership
Languages
- English: Mandatory
- Arabic and French: an asset
Conditions Offered
- Salary: From €2,310 gross/month (including allowances)
- Per diem: $750/month
- Accommodation covered
- Travel costs covered (home country ↔ mission)
- Rest system: 7 days every 3 months + $850 break allowance
- Insurance: full medical, dental, ophthalmology, evacuation, war risk coverage
- Additional monthly rest day
Living Conditions
- Base: N’Djamena (shared accommodation, 24/7 electricity and internet)
- Good city infrastructure (gyms, restaurants, cultural life)
- Possible field visits to Sudan (basic but functional conditions, limited social life, curfew)
