Job Overview
Sadagaat Charity Organization is seeking two Senior Accountants to support its Finance Department. The role is responsible for accurate accounting records, financial transactions, reconciliations, reporting, budget monitoring, donor compliance, and audit support.
The successful candidate will also provide guidance to junior finance staff and ensure compliance with SCO policies, donor requirements, and applicable regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting and financial records.
- Review and process payments, invoices, advances, and financial transactions.
- Prepare bank, cash, vendor, staff, and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Support monthly and annual financial closing and reporting.
- Monitor project budgets and prepare budget-versus-actual reports.
- Prepare donor financial reports and supporting documentation.
- Support audits, financial reviews, and compliance requirements.
- Review partner financial reports and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain secure, complete, and audit-ready financial files.
- Guide and mentor junior finance staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting or financial management experience.
- NGO or international organization experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with donor-funded projects and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of UN financial procedures and HACT requirements is an advantage.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional integrity and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English and Arabic.
