In an official ceremony attended by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Administrative Modernisation, represented by H.E. Minister Ahmed Salem Abde, alongside government officials, partners and industry representatives, Chinguitel celebrated the launch of its 5G network, marking a new chapter for connectivity and digital innovation in Mauritania.

Held at the Sheraton Nouakchott Hotel, the event showcased Chinguitel’s vision and ambitions for the future, as well as the opportunities that 5G technology will create for individuals, businesses and Mauritania’s wider digital transformation.

The presentations were led by Sudatel Telecom Group CEO, Eng. Magdi Taha, and Chinguitel General Manager, Eng. Gafar Salih, who highlighted the potential of next-generation connectivity and the company’s plans for the Mauritanian market.

The launch establishes Chinguitel as the first operator to introduce 5G services in Mauritania, representing a significant milestone in the country’s telecommunications development.
