The Ambassador of the Republic of Italy to Sudan, H.E. Silvio Mignano, visited the Comboni College of Science and Technology (CCST) in Port Sudan.

During his visit, the Ambassador was welcomed by the College Principal and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Fr. Jorge Naranjo, who provided an overview of CCST’s activities, ongoing projects, and cooperation with Italian institutions.

The discussions highlighted CCST’s collaboration with AISPO, AICS, the University for Foreigners of Perugia, the Community of Sant’Egidio, the Center for Nursing Research and Innovation (CeNRI), the Dante Alighieri Institute, and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The meeting also explored opportunities to strengthen educational and cultural cooperation, including the possibility of establishing Comboni College of Science and Technology as an official examination centre for Italian language certification and facilitating online examinations for internationally recognised qualifications such as CELI and PLIDA.
The visit provided an opportunity to further strengthen CCST’s academic and institutional ties with Italian partners and explore new areas of cooperation.
